How our seaweed extract powder is produced and what does it contain?
Our seaweed extract is derived from Laminaria and Sargassum.
Laminaria -
Abundant in polysaccharides (eg. laminarin), has been shown to stimulate innate immune responses against diseases that arise from phyto-pathogenic fungi and bacteria; such as, gray mold, powdery mildew, downy mildew, fire blight, and bacterial spot.
Sargassum -
Is rich in alginic acid which increases water retention capacity in soil and and cytokinin which promotes plant growth.
A sophisticated Freeze Drying Process is used as part of the extract production step, to ensure the integrity of the nutrients.
" Fresh seaweed
" Wash with water to desalinate the seaweed
" Remove shells and foreign debris
" Select good quality leaves
" Break up the leaves by progressive particle size reduction
" Fermentation Filter with plate-and-flame
" Cryoconcentration
" Dehydrolysis
" Cold drying
" Powdered
" Packing

Seaweed Extract Powder (SEP)
How to apply our seaweed extract powder (SEP) to Turf
Prepare a stock solution by dissolving 10 g (2.5 tsp) of seaweed extract powder in 1L of water. Add 4L of water to stock as final spraying solution.
5L mix per 2500sq`. 10g of SEP will cover a 2500` lawn. For best results apply every 30-40 days
